Washington Nationals shortstop Trea Turner went 0-for-4 with a walk in a 5-0 win over the Giants on Sunday afternoon. It was his second straight game in which he was held without a hit, as he's been mired in a small slump over his last seven games, where he is slashing .214/.290/.214 with two RBI and two runs scored. Managers shouldn't be too alarmed though, as Turner's .280 xBA currently ranks in the 83rd percentile. He'll try to break out of this funk in Monday's series opener with the Pirates.--Michael

Philadelphia Phillies shortstop Trea Turner (back) is back at shortstop and is hitting leadoff on Wednesday against the visiting Colorado Rockies and left-hander Kyle Freeland at Citizens Bank Park. It will be only Turner's second start of the season while battling lower-back spasms, but he entered late in the game as a pinch-hitter on Monday and appears to be fine moving forward, so fantasy managers should be looking to get him back in their starting lineups. The 31-year-old three-time All-Star and former National League batting champion has gone 0-for-4 so far with a run scored, two walks and a strikeout in his six plate appearances. Although he's hit only .212 in 33 career at-bats against Freeland in his career, Turner does have a .763 OPS with two home runs and four RBI against the southpaw.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

Philadelphia Phillies shortstop Trea Turner (back), who was out of the starting lineup for the third straight day on Monday against the Colorado Rockies due to back spasms, appeared as a pinch-hitter in the seventh inning and walked before scoring the go-ahead run in the 6-1 victory in the team's home opener. Turner is expected to miss another game on Tuesday against Colorado, but he's clearly feeling better and is expected to return to the starting lineup for Wednesday's contest. The 31-year-old veteran is still searching for his first hit of the 2025 season after going hitless in his first six plate appearance with two walks, a strikeout and a run scored in just two games (one start). Fantasy managers will want to check back later on Tuesday to see if he's back in there, but most likely he won't be available again until Wednesday's game.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

Philadelphia Phillies shortstop Trea Turner (back) is not in the team's lineup for their home-opening series against the Colorado Rockies. Turner has been limited to just one outing thus far while experiencing back spasms that have held him out for three straight contests. Fortunately, the 31-year-old was seen taking ground balls on Monday. He noted that he was feeling better and that he hoped to play again on Wednesday. Turner has no hits in his first four at-bats but has been a good bet for four-category production when he's healthy. Teammate Edmundo Sosa projects to continue filling in at shortstop while the veteran is sidelined.--Alex Ciulla

Philadelphia Phillies shortstop Trea Turner (back) is not expected to return to the starting lineup until Wednesday, according to manager Rob Thompson. Turner missed his second straight game on Sunday due to back spasms. The organization plans to rest him again on Monday before the team has an off day on Tuesday. That would give Turner four days of rest before likely getting back into the lineup on Wednesday. The expectation is that Edmundo Sosa will continue start at shortstop until Turner is back. Sosa could have some short term fantasy value, but might not be worth adding with Turner possibly returning on Wednesday.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
