Miguel Sano Goes Yard In Friday's Loss
3 years agoMinnesota Twins first/third baseman Miguel Sano went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and two strikeouts in Friday's loss to the Houston Astros. Sano's homer was a towering blast, traveling 418 feet off the bat at an exit velocity of 109.7 MPH. The slugger suddenly leads the Twins in home runs, 13, and RBI, 31, though it has come with a measly .182 batting average. Statcast believes that Sano's batting average is largely earned- perhaps because the slugger has gone on an all-out power approach at the plate, hitting more fly balls than ever before. He looks poised for a strong second half, though managers in category formats will need to make sure he doesn't crater their team average.
