Keibert Ruiz Flashes Power At Triple-A
4 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers catching prospect Keibert Ruiz put on a power show at the Triple-A level on Friday. The 22-year-old catcher slugged with fifth and sixth homers of the year in his 17th minor league game. He should easily surpass his previous career-high of 12 in 101 games set back in 2018. The offensive outburst on Friday also raised Ruiz's batting average to .300. He has shown an excellent approach at the plate in 2021 with a BB-K of 7-9. He appears to be MLB-ready, but solid catching options at the MLB level have kept this young hitter in the minors. If the Dodgers are in the market for an impact arm this summer, Ruiz could be the player that helps seal the deal which could instantly make him relevant in 2021 redraft leagues.
