Kenta Maeda Will Return To Rotation On Monday Against Mariners
3 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Kenta Maeda (arm, groin) will return to the rotation on Monday against the Seattle Mariners. Maeda hasn't pitched since May 22 due to a groin strain and arm soreness but will be back with the big club after just one rehab start. The veteran righty had said that he didn't think he would require another rehab outing, so it makes sense to see him back at the beginning of this upcoming week. Maeda has disappointed this season with a career-worst 5.27 ERA and 20.5 percent strikeout rate, though the time off may have allowed him to correct some things. He is lined up to face a Mariners team that has posted the sixth-worst strikeout rate in the majors, though fantasy managers can be forgiven for leaving him on benches to see how he performs.
