3 years agoMinnesota Twins infielder/outfielder Luis Arraez (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment with the Triple-A St. Paul Saints Friday. Arraez has been out since May 23 with a partially dislocated right shoulder, though he's taken swings and ran the bases in the last two days, coming out of both activities pain-free. It's not clear how long of a rehab assignment Arraez will require, though he is undoubtedly close to a return to Minnesota. Arraez was slashing .277/.358/.333 with 20 runs scored, 14 RBI, and a career-high 10.5 percent walk rate as the new leadoff hitter. There should be no shortage of at-bats for him when he returns to the injury-riddled Twins.--Tim Capurso
