Alex Kirilloff Exits Game With Sprained Left Ankle
3 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder/first baseman Alex Kirilloff (ankle) left Thursday's game early with a sprained left ankle, per Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press. Kirilloff appeared to injure himself when attempting to field a Gio Urshela triple in the first inning, though the Twins are calling the injury a "low-grade" sprain. Gilberto Celestino took over in right field, with Nick Gordon serving as the emergency center fielder. Kirilloff should be viewed as day-to-day unless the Twins provide an update that says otherwise.
