Shane Baz Perfect For Five Innings At Double-A
4 years agoTampa Bay Rays pitcher Shane Baz continued his dominance on Wednesday. He did not allow a base runner in five innings of work and struck out six batters. He threw 39 of his 53 pitches for strikes (74%) as the organization continues to monitor his workload carefully. Baz's control has experienced a massive improvement over his 2019 season when he had an 11% walk rate in A-ball. Right now, it sits at less than 2%. His sudden improvements are similar to the strides Shane McClanahan made in 2019 right before he became one of the Rays' best pitchers. Rotoballer has Baz ranked as the 15th-best pitching prospect for dynasty baseball and his value continues to skyrocket.
