Erik Van Rooyen Could Shine On A Bigger Course
3 years agoWhile Erik Van Rooyen's recent form leaves a lot to be desired, his bomb-and-gauge style of play should serve him well at Congaree. Despite missing his last four cuts, Van Rooyen still ranks in the top 40 in this field in driving distance, strokes gained on par-fives and sand saves. If there is any course for Van Rooyen to find his form, one would have to believe it would be Congaree, which is known for its colossal length, generous fairways and expansive waste bunkers. While rostering Van Rooyen still comes with risk, he presents an appealing pivot from more popular players in his price range.
