Austin Voth Exits Early After HBP
Austin Voth exited Sunday's game early after being hit in the face by Vince Velasquez while attempting to bunt. Voth was taking Stephen Strasburg's spot in the rotation after the latter was placed on the injured list with a neck strain. Velasquez was wild in this outing as he hit Victor Robles with a pitch before hitting Voth. The good news is that Voth was able to walk off on his own after the scary play. He had worked a pair of scoreless innings with two strikeouts before exiting. The team should provide an update on him following the game's conclusion.

Austin Voth Inks One-Year Pact With Mariners
Austin Voth to a one-year, $1.25 million contract. The 31-year-old worked to a 5.19 ERA across 25 relief outings with the Orioles in 2023 but elbow inflammation bothered him for much of the season and he did not pitch after Aug. 30. Voth has bounced between the rotation and bullpen in parts of six seasons in the big leagues, combining to post a 4.90 ERA across 139 career appearances, 39 of which have been starts. Voth has fared better as a starter, posting a solid 4.23 ERA across 178 2/3 innings as a starter versus a 5.89 ERA in 120 2/3 frames as a reliever. Given the Mariners' starting pitching depth, Voth is likely bullpen-bound in 2024.

Austin Voth Transferred To 60-Day Injured List Monday
Austin Voth (elbow) was transferred from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL Monday. The move occurred to make room for newly-claimed pitcher Jacob Webb. While he has begun a rehab assignment, Voth has been dealing with right elbow inflammation since the middle of June, so it will still be some time before he could rejoin the O's. The 31-year-old had posted a lackluster 4.94 ERA and 1.58 WHIP in 31 innings of relief prior to his injury.
