Corey Kluber Resumes Playing Catch
3 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Corey Kluber (shoulder) resumed playing catch on Friday. Kluber landed on the injured list nine days ago with a right shoulder strain, though manager Aaron Boone had spoken Thursday about optimism regarding his status. The fact that the veteran hurler was able to throw supports that positive outlook, though his timetable for a return remains about two months out. Michael King and Deivi Garcia seem like the most likely beneficiaries of Kluber's absence, though Luis Severino will make his return to the rotation sometime this summer.
