Elvis Andrus Producing From Nine-Hole In Batting Order
4 years agoOakland Athletics shortstop Elvis Andrus is succeeding in his first season in Oakland despite being buried near the bottom of the batting order most games. Andrus is batting a league-best .309 when hitting ninth and is tied with Nick Madrigal for the most extra-base hits when batting ninth. Despite his production, Andrus isn't a fantasy-relevant player outside of AL-Only leagues. His overall average of .211 leaves a lot to be desired and he's not producing homers nor steals, as he's got just two and three this season, respectively. He does have some good matchups in Colorado on the docket, so fantasy managers desperate for a shortstop can take a chance on Andrus for that series.
