Jordan Montgomery Strikes Out Six In Third Win
3 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Jordan Montgomery notched his third win of the season in Wednesday's victory over the Tampa Bay Rays. Montgomery pitched 6 1/3 innings, allowing three runs, one earned, on five hits with six strikeouts against two walks. The southpaw generated 10 whiffs and an average exit velocity of 88.1 MPH against, as he kept the Rays' lineup off balance. Montgomery has gone at least six innings with one run or less allowed in two of his last three starts, with a matchup against the Minnesota Twins coming up on June 8.
