LaMonte Wade Jr. Homers Monday, Stays Hot
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants first baseman/outfielder LaMonte Wade Jr. continued his hot streak in Monday's 6-1 win over the Angels, going 1-for-3 with a solo home run (his first of the season) and a strikeout. Wade Jr., who has spent most of his career playing the outfield, has done a nice job filling in at first as the Giants deal with various injuries. The 27-year-old is now slashing an impressive .350/.458/.550 in 24 plate appearances. While it is a nice stat line, Wade Jr. doesn't have much of a big-league track record to go off of, so fantasy managers should wait to see a bit more from him before forming an opinion on him.
