Can Anthony Rendon Turn His Season Around?
4 years agoLos Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon went 0-for-4 in the Angels 6-1 loss to the Giants on Monday. Rendon will be happy to see the calendar flipping over to June, as the veteran slashed only .200/.286/.320 in the month of May. With the Angels short a certain player named Mike Trout, the team needs Rendon to pick up the slack as they fall further down the standings. But the slugger has only seven extra-base hits to his name through 122 at-bats this season and has been dealing with several nagging injuries. Angels fans and fantasy teams are hoping Rendon will turn it around in June and the 30-year-old posted an impressive .967 OPS in June of the 2019 season. Rendon could be a sneaky buy-low trade candidate, provided he stays healthy, with the belief that the veteran can rekindle what made him such a dangerous hitters for so many seasons in the past.
