Jonathan Villar Reaches Base Twice In Win Thursday
3 years agoNew York Mets shortstop Jonathan Villar went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in a 4-2 win over the Rockies on Thursday. He's now reached base safely in nine of his last 10 games, and over his last 15 games he is slashing .236/.300/.418 with three home runs, four steals, five RBI and nine runs scored. Villar got off to a slow start, but after heating up over the past couple weeks, he is now slashing .231/.318/.385 with four home runs and five steals over 40 games. He'll have the best fantasy value in deep-mixed and NL-only formats for managers looking for a power-speed combo in the middle infield.
