Domingo German Takes Tough Loss
3 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Domingo German was saddled with his third loss of the season on Thursday against the Toronto Blue Jays. German pitched 5 2/3 innings, allowing two runs on three hits while walking a pair and striking out five. The 28-year-old righty allowed back-to-back solo homers, each in the top of the third inning, though he kept the scoreboard clean besides that. German induced 15 swinging strikes, 13 of them on his off-speed pitches, as he put together a strong effort despite the lack of run support from the Yankees' offense. He has lowered his season ERA to 3.06 and is looking like a top-50 fantasy starter the rest of the way.
