3 years agoBoston Red Sox relief pitcher Ryan Brasier (calf) could be sent on a rehab assignment within a week, according to Red Sox manager Alex Cora. Brasier threw a 25-pitch bullpen session this past weekend and will first face hitters in a live batting practice before the rehab assignment. Brasier has been on the injured list all year due to a left calf strain. Once he's able to make his way back, he figures to serve as one of the team's primary setup men. Last year, he had a 3.96 ERA and 1.40 WHIP with a 27.3% strikeout rate.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
