4 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Michael Pineda (thigh) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list on Wednesday ahead of his scheduled start against the Baltimore Orioles. Pineda missed one turn through the rotation due to the recovery process following a procedure to remove an abscess in his thigh. The veteran right-hander owns a 2-2 record with a 2.79 ERA and a 39:10 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 38 2/3 innings this season. He is slated to take on an Orioles' lineup that ranks 22nd in OPS. Pineda owns a 3.86 ERA in 13 career starts against Baltimore, making him a solid start on Wednesday.--Tim Capurso
