Rob Font picked up a decision win over Kyler Phillips in the co-main event of UFC Vegas 99 on Saturday. Font entered the bout as a sizeable underdog and early on, the American struggled. He was taken down and controlled for 3:34 of the first round and it looked to be a long night. But, Font was able to keep the fight standing and he used his jab and pressure to wear on Phillips. He ended up outstriking Font in both the second and third rounds to get the decision win. With the victory, Font improved to 21-8 as a pro and is 11-7 in the UFC. He also snapped his two-fight losing streak and should get a top-10 opponent next.--Cole Shelton

Rob Font (20-8) is set to take on Kyler Phillips in the co-main event of UFC Vegas 99 on Saturday. Font could be fighting for his job on Saturday.--Cole Shelton

Rob Font suffered a clear-cut decision loss to Deiveson Figueiredo at UFC Austin to drop to 20-8 as a pro and 10-7 in the UFC, while being 1-4 in his last five fights. Font was outstruck 22-to-10 while also being taken down twice in the first round. He had a better second round outstriking the former flyweight champ 17-to-15 but was controlled for more than a minute. Font was then dominated on the feet to lose a clear-cut decision. With the loss to Figueiredo, Font will likely have to fight someone ranked below him or someone unranked next time out.--Cole Shelton
