Melvin Ingram Visiting Dolphins
4 years agoFormer Los Angeles Chargers pass-rusher Melvin Ingram will visit with the Miami Dolphins, according to an informed source. The 32-year-old played in seven games with the Chargers last year and had just 10 tackles. It was the first time in his nine-year career that he failed to record a sack. The former first-round pick in 2012 has struggled to stay on the field in his career because of injuries. Ingram tore his ACL in 2013 after a solid rookie season. But he managed to rack up 43 sacks and three straight Pro Bowl nods from 2017 to 2019 with the Bolts. Ingram had a visit with the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs earlier this offseason, but he left without a deal. He'd be a cheap and potentially savvy pickup if he were to join the Dolphins defense.
