Noah Syndergaard Moving To Triple-A For Next Starts
4 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard (elbow) will be moving up to Triple-A Syracuse to continue his rehab assignment this week. Syndergaard looked good in his first rehab outing at the Low-A level, pitching four shutout innings with six strikeouts. While his velocity was down in the 93-95 MPH range, that's to be expected given that he's in the "spring training" ramp-up mode right now. Syndergaard was initially expected to remain at the Single-A level through the end of May, though perhaps the team believes he's ready for a bit of a step up in his rehab. Syndergaard is expected to rejoin the Mets rotation sometime in June and is a worthy stash wherever possible.
