Victor Robles Placed On 10-Day Injured List
4 years agoWashington Nationals outfielder Victor Robles (ankle) was placed on the 10-day injured list on Sunday. Robles injured his right ankle this past Wednesday, and the team called it a right ankle sprain. Manager Dave Martinez said the team placed him on the injured list Sunday rather than Tuesday, their original plan, to give him a chance to be activated sooner. The injury is unfortunate timing for Robles and his fantasy managers, as he was starting to put things together at the plate, with seven hits, three RBI, and a pair of stolen bases over the past week. Martinez noted that he feels comfortable using Josh Harrison in center field, so he would be a candidate to see increased at-bats in Robles' absence.
