Minnesota Twins second baseman/shortstop Jorge Polanco (ankle) is not in the lineup for Friday's series opener against the Cleveland Indians. Polanco was removed from the second game of Thursday's doubleheader against the Los Angeles Angels after he tweaked his right ankle. He reportedly injured it during the previous series versus the Oakland Athletics, though he was attempting to play through it. The injury is related to the issues that have led him to undergo surgery on his ankle in each of the last two offseasons, so expect the Twins to be extra careful with Polanco. He should be considered day-to-day, though it wouldn't be surprising to see him miss some time. Luis Arraez will get the start at second base.--Tim Capurso

Seattle Mariners second baseman/designated hitter Jorge Polanco is out of the starting lineup with a left-hander on the mound on Wednesday in the series finale against the division-rival Los Angeles Angels. Catcher Cal Raleigh is serving as the DH and is batting third, while Mitch Garver is catching and hitting fifth against Angels left-hander Tyler Anderson. Polanco has only been able to hit from the left side in games recently due to a minor side injury, so he'll take a seat in this one despite hitting two home runs and driving in five in the win on Tuesday. The 31-year-old Dominican switch-hitter has been raking in his first 72 at-bats in 2025, slashing .389/.423/.819 with nine homers, 25 RBI and 12 runs scored. Fantasy managers will want to get him back in their lineups immediately when he returns to face a right-hander. Raleigh has a homer and three RBI in 10 career at-bats versus Anderson.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

Seattle Mariners designated hitter/third baseman Jorge Polanco had a huge night on Tuesday, smacking a pair of homers and driving in all five of the M's runs in a 5-3 win over the Los Angeles Angels. Polanco is the hottest hitter in the majors right now, with six homers and 13 RBI in his last six games. With this performance, he bumps up his season numbers to a .389 AVG, 1.242 OPS, 12 runs, nine homers, 25 RBI, and a steal in 72 at-bats. Polanco has been phenomenal and is a must-roster and must-start player in all formats right now. He is still on the waiver wire in some leagues, so make a claim for him while you still can.--Matt Garon - RotoBaller

Seattle Mariners designated hitter/third baseman Jorge Polanco went 2-for-4 with two home runs, a walk, and an additional run scored in Saturday's 14-0 win over the Miami Marlins. Polanco has four homers in his last four games as he continues to play some of the best ball of his career. The 31-year-old has been studly for the M's this year, hitting .354 with a 1.085 OPS, 10 runs, seven homers, 18 RBI, and a stolen base in 65 at-bats. The only issue for Polanco right now is that he isn't playing every day, but at this point, he should still be rostered in most fantasy leagues, at least until he cools off.--Matt Garon - RotoBaller

Seattle Mariners infielder Jorge Polanco will take a seat during Thursday's contest against the Boston Red Sox with left-hander Garrett Crochet set to take the mound. Through the early part of the campaign, Polanco has only made one start against a southpaw. Instead, Ben Williamson will cover the hot corner, and Cal Raleigh will shift to the DH spot, which will allow Mitch Garver to be behind the dish. Polanco has enjoyed an impressive start to the campaign, posting a strong .339/.356/.589 slash line with two doubles and four home runs. Under the hood, Polanco has generated an elite .424 xwOBA and a .354 xBA, which suggests his production is sustainable. Fantasy managers should expect the 31-year-old to return to the starting nine on Friday when they face Miami right-hander Cal Quantrill. The Mariners are not worth targeting in DFS, as they face Crochet, who enters this game with a 1.13 ERA.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
