Hello everybody and welcome! The 2021 MLB season and alive and well and that means our new friends over at PrizePicks have a TON of great props we can look to take advantage of. PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.
Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the best, and easiest to win, MLB DFS games in the industry. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER' you can get a 100% match on your deposit up to $100.
PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game. The second game is known as Single Stat. For MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props in which you determine if the pitcher in question will go over or under their projected strikeout total. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. For today's article, we are going to try and focus on the main board's Single Stat pitchers and explain why a pitcher will or will not go over their projected strikeout total. Let's see what the board offers today!

Single Stat MLBP Totals
Jordan Montgomery under 4.5 strikeouts: Montgomery has only gone over this total once in his previous four starts and it was against the Tampa Bay Rays who have been awful against left-handed pitchers. The White Sox are certainly not the Rays as they are only posting a K rate of 22.6% against lefties in the previous 10 days, which ranks in the top half of baseball over that span. They are also posting a ridiculous 159 wRC+, which is ranked second in baseball over that span. This is a tough matchup for Montgomery and the under looks promising.
Jeff Hoffman under 4.5 strikeouts - Jeff Hoffman will be facing a Brewers lineup that has gotten much better vs. right-handers as the season has progressed. Over the previous 10 days, they are posting a K rate of just 22.6%, which is ranked 10th-best in baseball. They are also walking at a rate of 11.1%, which shows me they are being patient at the plate. Hoffman has also only gone over this total twice all season and has only done it once in his last seven starts.
Ian Anderson under 6.5 strikeouts - Anderson is facing the Pirates who are only striking out at a clip of 24.2%, which is not great, but also is not terrible. Anderson has only struck out seven batters three times in 2021 and two of those times were against the Phillies. This prop is likely going to be close, so he is probably best played in a flex play tonight.
Mike Minor over 6.5 strikeouts - Minor gets the Tigers tonight and we all love to attack the Tigers. They are currently posting a K rate of 30.0% against left-handed pitchers over the previous 10 days, which ranks seventh-worst in baseball. Minor has been solid lately as well as he has struck out seven in each of his last two outings and has struck out over 6.5 in three of his previous five starts.
