Cody Poteet Impresses In His Second Start
3 years agoMiami Marlins rookie starting pitcher Cody Poteet was impressive again in his second major league start on Tuesday. Taking on the Philadelphia Phillies, Poteet pitched five innings, allowing no runs on three hits and two walks while striking out three. He's now pitched 10 big league innings and allowed just two runs and posted a 0.90 WHIP. He's seemingly solidified a spot in the starting rotation, at least until all of the injured Marlins starters are healthy. He makes for an intriguing streaming option against less potent offenses, especially when the Marlins go back to Miami for home games.
