Juan Soto Continues Cold Streak On Monday
3 years agoWashington Nationals outfielder Juan Soto went 1-for-4 with a strikeout in a 7-3 loss to the Cubs on Monday. Since returning from the injured list on May 4, Soto has been in a funk at the plate, slashing .220/.360/.293 over 13 games as he has lowered his season batting average by 36 points since April 19. The good news though is it appears that Soto has been unlucky at the plate with his .264 average and .385 SLG, as he currently owns a .319 xBA and .569 xSLG — ranking him in the 96th and 93rd percentiles respectively. Look for Soto to start turning things around at the plate very soon.
