Jose Berrios Allows Four Runs In No-Decision
4 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Jose Berrios didn't have his best stuff in Saturday's no-decision against the Athletics. Berrios pitched seven innings, allowing four runs on seven hits while fanning six batters. Despite the relatively rough line, the 26-year-old gave the Twins length, as his seven innings were the longest he'd gone in a start all season. Berrios' fastball was hit hard, as evidenced by its 97.3 MPH average exit velocity against- and he wasn't missing as many bats as he's capable of. He still owns a 3.74 ERA after the so-so outing and will carry a 49:14 strikeout-to-walk ratio into his next start against the Angels on May 20.
