Craig Kimbrel Blows Second Save
4 years agoChicago Cubs closer Craig Kimbrel picked up his second blown save of the season and picked up his second loss versus the Detroit Tigers on Saturday. Kimbrel was called upon with an 8-7 lead in the bottom of the tenth inning. Kimbrel got Miguel Cabrera to pop out to open the frame, but then allowed a single to Nomar Mazara that would tie the game. He then got Jonathan Schoop to strikeout, but Harold Castro would come up and hit a game winning single. Kimbrel has been lights out this year and both of his blown saves and losses have come in extra innings. Managers should chalk this up as just a bad outing for the flamethrower. Kimbrel now owns a 1.15 ERA on the season,
