Matt DiBenedetto stands a chance to at least lead some more laps on Sunday at Dover. He led 17 and 11 laps respectively in the two races from the "Monster Mile" last season. The Wood Brothers Racing driver showed some speed and restraint last year. He knew when to attack the track and knew when not to. Also, DiBenedetto had a seventh-place result late in 2019. It would not be a surprise to see the No. 21 improve on his 18th place start. At the very least, he shows some upside on Sunday at a decent salary. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller

Matt DiBenedetto begins Sunday from the 21st position at Martinsville. During the Spring, he started 22nd, got into the top-ten several times, and fell slightly back to 12th. He has four top-20 results in his previous four appearances. So, moving up position-wise appears likely. It becomes more a question of can DiBenedetto and his Wood Brothers Racing car find a way to stay in the top-ten longer? That is an excellent question. It would be the next step. The No. 21 car has the speed but does he have that late speed so many drivers covet? We shall find out. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller

Matt DiBenedetto and his time with Wood Brothers Racing is almost at an end. However, one of his best results of the season was a fourth-place at Kansas. Lost in the shuffle is this. DiBenedetto finished in 15th (2019 Fall race). Then, there was the 12th last Fall. In that race, the No. 21 driver even led 12 laps. He starts 15th on Sunday and few would be surprised with a top-ten result. That is why his DFS upside is elevated. There is even a chance that he can lead part of the race again on Sunday. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller

Matt DiBenedetto had the speed and downforce to finish eighth last fall at Texas. He even led a couple of laps as the Wood Brothers Racing driver did well on the quad-oval course. DiBenedetto has finished on the lead lap three straight times at the 1.5-mile intermediate track. Stage intervals showed the No. 21 car quite favorably, and his car does not seem to have the issues that plague the Hendrick cars in particular. Also, DiBenedetto does not tail off as much late on these tracks. He starts 13th, which is right around where he has qualified the last three times at Texas. A top-15 result looks very likely for this weekend.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller

Matt DiBenedetto has been right around the top ten in all three appearances at Charlotte. The Wood Brothers Racing driver is motivated to find a spot to race on the NASCAR circuit in 2022. Consider in 2019 and 2020, DiBenedetto finished 13th and 11th on the ROVAL. Expect the No. 21 to have some good speed, downforce, and a clear path up the standings. Starting 30th may not be a bad thing at all as several drivers like DiBenedetto should benefit from a DFS standpoint especially. With just five races left in the NASCAR season, the value should be something to definitely for. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
