Jack Flaherty Blanks The Brewers
4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals ace Jack Flaherty dazzled again Thursday, this time shutting down the Brewers in Milwaukee. The flamethrower scattered four hits across six full innings to go along with two walks, allowing zero Brewers to cross the plate. Now sporting a solid but not overly impressive 2.47 ERA and 0.95 WHIP across eight starts, Flaherty has looks just like the fantasy ace you drafted. Furthermore, when you break down the numbers you realize the Cardinals hurler allowed six earned runs on opening day, and in the seven starts since then he's allowed an average of one run per start. Savvy managers looking to upgrade the top end of their roster may want to send out very competitive offers for Flaherty while giving up talent that is not as hot as the Cardinals ace. Either way, Flaherty is a top fantasy asset moving forward in all leagues.
