Jorge Polanco Collects Fourth Straight Multi-Hit Game
4 years agoMinnesota Twins second baseman/shortstop Jorge Polanco went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's defeat at the hands of the White Sox. Polanco singled in the second inning, then rapped another base hit for an RBI in the sixth. The switch-hitting infielder now has nine hits, four of them for extra bases, in his last four contests and is batting .375 in May. After a slow start to the season, his bat has come alive as of late- and he makes for a good waiver wire add in leagues where he's available, as he is eligible at second base and shortstop in some formats. Polanco could get a start at short on Thursday with Andrelton Simmons (ankle) nursing a sore ankle.
