Grayson Greiner Exits Tuesday With Hamstring Strain
4 years agoDetroit Tigers catcher Grayson Greiner (hamstring) exited Tuesday's game early with a left hamstring strain, according to Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press. Greiner had gone 1-for-2 with an RBI before he was pinch-hit for by Jake Rogers in the bottom of the fifth inning. There's no word on how long Greiner will be kept out of the lineup, but if it's for more than a day or two, it's possible he could face an IL stint, as Rogers would be the only active catcher on the team's roster with Wilson Ramos already on the 10-day injured list with a lumbar spine strain. Over 14 games this year, Greiner is slashing .222/.243/.333 with one home run, four RBI and a run scored.
