Kyle Freeland To Make First Rehab Start On Saturday
4 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Kyle Freeland (shoulder) will make his first rehab start on Saturday, according to MLB.com's Thomas Harding. Freeland has been out since suffering a left shoulder strain back in Spring Training, and he recently began throwing bullpen sessions again. Harding reports that Freeland will be limited to 60 to 70 pitches in the rehab outing, which he adds could be a sign that Freeland is very close to a return. When healthy, Freeland can be a solid play in deeper leagues, just make sure to avoid his home starts as he has a career 4.35 ERA at Coors Field as opposed to a 3.98 ERA on the road.
