Rougned Odor Taking Grounders
4 years agoNew York Yankees second baseman Rougned Odor (knee) took grounders on the field over the weekend. Odor is eligible to come off the injured list during the upcoming series against the Rays, though manager Aaron Boone did not commit to activating him then. The former Ranger seems to be progressing, though it might be a bit longer before he's back on the field. The bigger question mark is perhaps his playing time when he returns, as Luke Voit (knee) will be at first base, shifting DJ LeMahieu back to second, where Odor routinely plays for New York. He seems destined for a role as a bench bat, which would sap him of any season-long fantasy value he may have accrued over the last few weeks.
