Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Off To Slow Start To Open May
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 1-for-4 with one RBI and two strikeouts on Sunday, as he continued what has been a cold start to the month of May. Through nine games this month, Guerrero is now slashing .212/.333/.273 with three RBI and eight runs scored. Despite this mini-slump, Guerrero still has solid numbers overall this season with a .310/.447/.519 triple-slash line with seven home runs, 23 RBI and 24 runs scored in 33 games. Managers shouldn't worry too much about this slump, as Guerrero's .303 xBA and .535 xSLG are much closer to his performance in April. He'll look to get things back on track on Tuesday.
