Daniel Castano Lasts Just Four Innings Again On Saturday
4 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Daniel Castano was called up to make Saturday's start against the Milwaukee Brewers and lasted just four innings. He allowed three runs on six hits and two walks, striking out five. The five strikeouts was a season high for Castano and actually doubled his season total. He simply doesn't make batters swing and miss often enough. Castano profiles as a back-of-the-rotation innings eater type of soft-tossing lefty, but he's yet to throw more than five innings in a start. He'll take a 5.19 ERA into his next start and is not even on the streaming radar at this point.
