Aaron Sanchez Lands On IL With Biceps Tightness
Aaron Sanchez (biceps) was placed on the 10-day injured list with biceps tightness on Saturday, according to Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle. Sanchez is coming off his worst start of the season in which he allowed four runs on seven hits and one walk in four innings against the Rockies, but in spite of the poor showing, he has been otherwise solid this year with a 3.18 ERA and 19.7 percent strikeout rate in six starts. It's unknown at this time how long he will be out with this injury.

Aaron Sanchez Signs With Diamondbacks
Aaron Sanchez has agreed on a minor-league contract with the Arizona Diamondbacks. Sanchez was released by the Minnesota Twins a few weeks ago. He made eight appearances (three starts) with the Twins last season, but didn't pitch too well. The 31-year-old hasn't pitched in the MLB yet this season and is expected to head to Triple-A Reno. This appears to be a depth move, so fantasy managers shouldn't expect much from Sanchez.

Twins Re-Sign Aaron Sanchez
Aaron Sanchez to a minor-league deal. Along with the Twins, Sanchez also pitched for the Washington Nationals last year. When all was said and done, he had a career-worst 6.60 ERA (4.48 FIP), 1.55 WHIP and weak 15.5 percent strikeout rate in 60 innings pitched over 15 appearances (10 starts). Sanchez was an All-Star with the Toronto Blue Jays in 2016 and had a much more promising fantasy outlook earlier in his career, but lingering injuries (mostly finger/hand) derailed his career. The 30-year-old will be looking to impress Minnesota's coaching staff in spring training to see if he can win a role on the pitching staff entering the 2023 season. Sanchez can be ignored in most fantasy formats.

Aaron Sanchez Designated For Assignment On Saturday
Aaron Sanchez for assignment on Saturday. Washington will keep reliever Andrés Machado on the roster while the move to designate Sanchez opens up a spot in the team's starting five until Stephen Strasburg (neck) returns. Sanchez has struggled mightily this season, posting an 8.33 ERA, 1.76 WHIP, and 16 strikeouts over 31 1/3 innings. The 29-year-old will report to Triple-A Rochester or test free agency if the right-hander goes unclaimed. Fantasy managers can leave Sanchez on the waiver wire.

Aaron Sanchez To Start On Saturday
Aaron Sanchez will take the mound for Saturday's game against the San Francisco Giants. The 29-year-old will be making his team debut after pitching well in the minors. Sanchez posted a 3.60 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 10/5 K/BB ratio across 15 innings in Triple-A. Honestly, it's tough to trust Sanchez for this matchup. He has experienced success in the past, but the Giants' bats have been hot lately. Fantasy managers can use Sanchez at their own risk.
