Jameson Taillon Earns Quality Start In No-Decision
4 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Jameson Taillon notched a quality start in Friday's no-decision against the Nationals. Taillon pitched 6 1/3 innings, surrendering three runs on three hits while striking out five batters compared to one walk. The former Pirate generated 13 whiffs, nine of them coming on his breaking pitches. Taillon has now pitched at least five innings, allowing three runs or less in three of his last four starts for the Yankees, but has just one win to show for it. So long as he continues to pitch like this, he should factor into more wins moving forward. His next start will come against the Rays on May 13.
