Miguel Andujar Recalled From Triple-A
4 years agoNew York Yankees infielder/outfielder Miguel Andujar was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre before Friday's game against the Nationals. Andujar nearly got the call following the Rougned Odor injury but will now make his return to the big leagues after impressing in minor-league action- he was hitting .462 with three homers and six RBI in three contests. Gio Urshela (knee) is not expected to be placed on the injured list, though Andujar's versatility- he has appeared at third base, first base, and left field for the Bronx Bombers- ensures that he should get some at-bats in the immediate future. The 26-year-old can certainly hit big-league pitching, as he became one of two rookies in franchise history with 20-plus homers and 30-plus doubles back in 2018, with the other being Joe DiMaggio. If Andujar can swing the bat well, he could potentially have some appeal in fantasy leagues, as well as DFS formats.
