Gio Urshela Getting MRI On Knee After Early Exit
3 years agoNew York Yankees third baseman Gio Urshela (knee) is undergoing an MRI on his knee after leaving Thursday's game early, according to Bryan Hoch of MLB.com. Urshela was replaced on defense in the middle of the eighth inning following Jose Altuve's two-run home run, as manager Aaron Boone described Urshela as "stable" when they put him through tests at the stadium. There's no indication as to what the injury could be or how severe it is, but managers will hope it's not a long-term problem as he has slashed .276/.327/.439 with four home runs and 16 RBI in 27 games this season.
