Francisco Lindor Hitless On Wednesday
4 years agoNew York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor went 0-for-3 in the first game of a doubleheader against the Cardinals on Wednesday, before being benched for the second game. Lindor, in the midst of a horrible stretch, is now hitless in his last 24 at-bats. This current streak has dropped his slash line to a shocking .157/.276/.202 over 89 at-bats on the season. Though Lindor has shown improvement in his overall strikeout and walk rates in comparison to 2020, he looks completely lost at the plate right now. Hopefully, the Mets giving Lindor some rest in the second game of the twin bill on Wednesday will help clear his head. Despite the horrendous start to the 2021 campaign, fantasy managers should persevere and keep Lindor active in all formats for when the talented shortstop eventually breaks out.
