Max Kepler Collects RBI And Fourth Stolen Base
4 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Max Kepler went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Monday's victory over the Rangers. Kepler added on to the Minnesota lead with an RBI single, then swiped second base for his fourth stolen bag of the season. The four stolen bases are more than he had in the shortened 2020 season- and his career-high mark of six appears to be in danger, as he has been one of the better threats on the basepaths for Minnesota. The power numbers have yet to surface- and while his fly-ball rate is the lowest since 2017, the barrel rate and hard-hit rates suggest that the home runs should be coming soon. With the Rangers slated to start a right-hander on Tuesday and a lefty on Wednesday, expect Kepler in the lineup for the second game of the series, and on the bench for the third.
