Miles Mikolas To Make Rehab Start Wednesday
4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Miles Mikolas (shoulder) is scheduled to make a rehab start with Triple-A Memphis on Wednesday, according to Zachary Silver of MLB.com. Mikolas has not pitched in a game since the 2019 NLCS, as he missed the 2020 season due to surgery to repair the flexor tendon in his right forearm last July, and then he dealt with shoulder discomfort during Spring Training. In 2019, Mikolas went 9-14 with a 4.16 ERA and an 18.8 percent strikeout rate. Managers should wait until Mikolas is activated and has made a couple starts for St. Louis before considering targeting him in any format.
