Pete Alonso Drives In Three On Sunday
4 years agoNew York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso went 1-for-5 with a three-run double in the Mets' 8-7 win over the Phillies on Sunday evening. Alonso's lone hit, his fourth double of the season, broke the game open in the eighth inning until Edwin Diaz made things interesting in the ninth inning. Alonso is off to a somewhat slow start on the 2021 campaign, after a red hot spring training. He has posted a .259/.330/.494 slash line, with five home runs, and 16 RBI through the first 22 games of the season. Alonso is one of the game's top power hitters and, despite a slow beginning to the 2021 campaign, he should remain active in all fantasy formats. As he showed on Sunday, Alonso is capable of filling up the box score on any given day with one swing of the bat.
