David Peterson Has Another Solid Start Against Philly
4 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher David Peterson pitched five effective innings against the Phillies on Sunday in the Mets' 8-7 victory. Over his five innings, Peterson allowed only four hits, two walks, and one run, while striking out eight. He did not factor into the decision. After a rough beginning to the 2021 season, Peterson has rebounded nicely with three strong starts over his last four outings. He now owns a 4.81 ERA, a 1.23 WHIP, and a 29:8 K:BB over 24 1/3 innings pitched on the season. Peterson is scheduled to next face the Diamondbacks at home on Friday where he should be active in deeper mixed leagues and NL-only formats.
