Gleyber Torres Plates Three
4 years agoNew York Yankees shortstop Gleyber Torres drove in three runs in his team's second straight win Saturday. Torres collected a couple of run-producing base hits, the second of which broke the game open and gave the Yankees a 6-1 lead. The 24-year-old is riding a five-game hitting streak- and this was his third multi-hit game in that span as he's raised his season batting average to .245. Torres still has yet to leave the yard, though three of his five extra-base hits have come during his hitting streak, so it seems like a matter of time before he cranks a homer. He'll face Tigers' right-hander Jose Urena on Sunday.
