Vikings Select Tight End Zach Davidson
4 years agoWith 168th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings have selected Central Missouri tight end Zach Davidson. Davidson — who also played punter in college — didn't play last season because the pandemic canceled his team's season, but in 2019 he had 40 catches for 894 yards and 15 touchdowns while being named First Team All-MIAA at both punter and tight end. There's a lot of promise here because of his athleticism, but it's going to take a good bit of work for Davidson to be a tight end at the NFL level, as he's only played the position for two seasons and played at the Division II level in college.
