Brandon Lowe Launches Fourth Homer In Loss Thursday
4 years agoTampa Bay Rays second baseman Brandon Lowe went 1-for-3 with a home run, one RBI and two runs scored in a 3-2 loss to the Athletics on Thursday afternoon. It's been a rough start to the year for Lowe, who is now slashing .167/.293/.345 over his first 24 games with four home runs, 11 RBI and 11 runs scored. Lowe should start to show some improvement soon, as evidenced by his .205 xBA and .471 xSLG that suggest he's been unlucky at the plate. Managers might want to consider trying to acquire Lowe while his value is down and hope for a resurgence to the .270 average and .876 OPS he has posted over the past two seasons.
