Marlins To Make Decision On Jazz Chisholm Wednesday
4 years agoMiami Marlins second baseman Jazz Chisholm (hamstring) has not yet received a diagnosis on the severity of his injury suffered Tuesday night, and a decision will likely not be made until Wednesday morning, according to Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald. Chisholm exited the game in the bottom of the first inning with what was announced as a hamstring strain, but after the game manager Don Mattingly described the injury as Chisholm's hamstring cramping up after he stole second base. The fact that Chisholm was able to continue to run the bases and come around to score after suffering the injury is potentially a good sign, but Mattingly said that when the team makes its decision on how to deal with his injury, they will likely be cautious with him. The best guess at this point is that Chisholm will likely be out for Wednesday's day game, and after Thursday's off day he could return, but fantasy managers will have to wait for an official update sometime Wednesday morning.
