Kyle Tucker Homers In Win Saturday
4 years agoHouston Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in a 16-2 win over the Angels on Saturday. It was Tucker's fifth homer of the year, as he recorded his first multi-hit performance since April 12. Tucker has gotten off to a slow start at the plate, slashing .177/.202/.405 with 14 strikeouts in 20 games, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. His Statcast metrics suggest that he has gotten unlucky at the plate this year, as he currently has a career-best 16.5 percent strikeout rate (ranking him in the 85th percentile) and a .283 xBA and .550 xSLG. Managers should look into trying to trade for Tucker while his value is low, as he should be bouncing back here very soon.
